OrionStar GreetingBot Nova: the greeting robot with LLM voice dialogue

The OrionStar GreetingBot Nova is an autonomous greeting and guide robot of the latest generation. Its key differentiator: the integration of large language models via OrionStar's AgentOS. Instead of predefined answer trees, the Nova holds natural conversations in over 30 languages – it understands context, answers unexpected questions too and thus comes across as noticeably more assured in visitor contact than conventional greeting robots. The dialogue is complemented by a 14-inch Full HD display for multimedia content and a 13 MP head camera that actively recognises arriving visitors.

Operationally, simple commissioning speaks in its favour: the marker-free V-SLAM 2.0 needs no ceiling markers or structural alterations. salesmotion delivers the Nova as a fully integrated solution – our technicians handle mapping, tour and dialogue set-up, and in day-to-day operation we support every unit through our remote team and our DACH-wide technician network.

What sets the Nova apart from the GreetingBot Mini (MediaBot KI)?

The Mini is the compact specialist for tight reception areas – light, agile and focused on greeting and advertising. The Nova is the larger, more capable model: LLM-powered dialogue, marker-free V-SLAM 2.0, 12–14 hours of runtime and an open development platform for custom applications. Anyone who needs demanding visitor dialogues and guided tours chooses the Nova.

Which tasks does the GreetingBot Nova take on?

At reception it actively greets visitors, answers questions and accompanies them to their destination. In exhibitions, museums and showrooms it conducts tours along defined waypoints and explains exhibits through speech and multimedia. In clinics and care facilities it relieves staff of routine enquiries and wayfinding. Via its open interfaces it can also be connected to your own systems – for visitor registration or appointment management, for example.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the GreetingBot Nova

What does LLM voice dialogue mean in practice?+
The Nova uses large language models via OrionStar's AgentOS. It answers questions in free-form language instead of relying on rigid answer trees – even when visitors raise topics that are not stored word for word. Your own knowledge (opening hours, products, directions) is entered in a structured way for this purpose.
Does the Nova need markers or building alterations?+
No. The Nova navigates autonomously using its sensors and mapping – structural alterations or markers in the building are not required. We set up the mapping during commissioning.
Does the Nova speak German?+
Yes, the Nova supports German and further languages in dialogue.
How long does the Nova run at a stretch?+
Runtime depends on usage and configuration; at low battery the Nova returns to the charging station by itself. We will give you concrete figures for your deployment in a conversation.
Can I buy, lease or rent the GreetingBot Nova?+
All operating models are possible: purchase, leasing, rental or Robot as a Service (RaaS). We recommend the right model as part of the consultation.
